Learning is central to building a stronger union in which members can speak up and get involved. Our courses are friendly and informal, and involve practical activities and working with groups of other UNISON members and activists.
Learning for you
Learning through UNISON can help you develop your confidence, skills and knowledge to become more active and involved around issues that concern you, and advance your career.
Getting on at work
UNISON works with employers to run learning programmes for members in a variety of subject areas, from informal workshops on areas of interest to members through to IT, reading and maths courses for continuing professional development.
Financial support
We offer financial support via our educational bursary scheme and through discounts on distance learning from a number of education providers, including the Open University.
Getting involved
Regions run a wide range of training courses and workshops for reps, branch officers and members interested in getting more involved in the union.
