UNISON is the only Union able to negotiate on behalf of all Staff within Staffordshire Police.
Staffordshire Police Unison was set up in 2001 to represent Staffordshire Police Staff Unison members. We have a full time Branch Secretary; Asst Branch Secretary and a Branch Coordinator. They are complimented by a team of dedicated and trained Branch Stewards and Branch Officers, to give our members a level of service expected by Unison Members.
Office accommodation has been provided at Hearn Court in Stafford, in order to ensure that Staffordshire Police Staff receive the standards of service to which our Police colleagues have become accustomed from the Police Federation.
Locally, a recognition and facilities agreement has been negotiated which has updated and redefined the extensive support already enjoyed by all UNISON members, Branch Officers and Stewards, from the Chief Constable and the PCC.
Police Staff in England and Wales now have their own specific National Service Group Branches in each Police Force area, which, through the Police Staff Council, on which UNISON holds the majority of seats, negotiates our national terms and conditions of service. As a UNISON member your views can be made known through the Branch and Regional structures.
Locally, terms and conditions enjoyed by Staffordshire Police Staff, are already, in many cases, in advance of those enjoyed elsewhere and we continue to negotiate on your behalf for further improvements.
