Police Staff Pay Award Accepted

POLICE STAFF COUNCIL (PSC) TRADE UNION SIDE

2020 PAY OFFER ACCEPTED

UNISON, GMB and Unite members have voted overwhelmingly to accept the employers pay offer for police staff for 2020.

96% of UNISON members, 96% of Unite members and 82% of GMB members voted to accept the pay offer.

The pay award, which followed meaningful negotiations between the Employers Side and Trade Unions in August and September is as follows:

  • A £700 pay increase on the lowest pay point 7 on the PSC pay spine with effect from 1 September 2020;
  • A 2.5%, or £500, increase (whichever is the greater) on all remaining pay points on the PSC pay spine with effect from 1 September 2020;
  • A 2.5% increase on Standby Allowance from £30.80 to £31.57 with effect from 1 September 2020;
  •  Without prejudice talks on police staff apprenticeship pay. It is hoped that the pay award, with back pay to 1 September 2020, can be made by forces in November pay packets.
