My name is Victoria Cooper, and I am honoured to serve as the Interim Assistant Branch Secretary for UNISON. I am proud to represent and support all our members, ensuring that their voices are heard and that they receive the advice, guidance and representation they deserve.
UNISON plays a vital role in protecting workers’ rights, promoting equality, and improving workplace conditions across public services. As Assistant Branch Secretary, I am committed to upholding these values and working alongside our branch officers, stewards and members to strengthen our union and support those we represent.
As interim assistant Branch Secretary, a key part of my role is listening to members’ concerns and helping them access the support and representation they need. Whether the issue relates to workplace policies, wellbeing, equality, training opportunities or terms and conditions of employment, I believe every member should feel confident that their union is there for them.
I am passionate about creating an inclusive, supportive and active branch where all members feel valued and encouraged to participate. I am acutely aware of the issues that we are facing, and the responsibility the role holds for ALL members in ALL areas of the workforce. Strong unions are built on strong membership, and I believe that by working together we will continue to improve working lives and protect the rights of all our members.
