Colleagues
Police/Police and Justice Branches and Regions have voted overwhelmingly to keep 1 September as the pay anniversary date for Police Staff Council pay awards in England and Wales.
Branches and regions were consulted earlier this year on the potential to move away from the existing 1 September pay anniversary date to a 1 April pay anniversary date – POL 10/2019 issued on 10 September 2019 refers.
By the closing date for the consultation (15 November) the following responses had been received:
Branches
- 12 in favour of retaining the 1 September pay anniversary date
- 1 in favour of moving to a 1 April pay anniversary date
Regions
- 1 in favour of retaining the 1 September pay anniversary date
- 1 deferred decision to branches in the region
On the basis of these consultation returns the Police Staff Council Sector Committee for England and Wales agreed at its meeting on 20 November 2019 to retain the PSC pay anniversary date at 1 September each year. This matter is therefore now closed.
